Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavior Therapy, developed by Aaron Beck, M.D. and others, works with your thinking and behaviors. CBT helps by teaching how to identify what is going on and your experience and build inner strength, clarity and an ability to act in your best interest. CBT seeks to uncover the thoughts that are driving our behaviors. It is important to “tune in” and hear what we are saying to ourselves. By doing this, we can learn our belief systems and begin to have some sense of choice in how we feel.
